Hi
Am reading your diary daily as my other half is currently out yonder also.  He gets to Ponden today though, so a day behind you.  I joined him on Sunday at Bleak Hey Nook and will be seeing him again on Friday in Horton.
Good luck to you both.

Babs Woolford

I don’t know how you two have got time for walking with all the food you are eating! No rest on Thursday, remember you have to get Mo’s boot fixed!

Keep up the good work

Cheers

Thanks for a lovely day’s walk. It was smashing to join you and enjoy the wonderful grand scenery of the Pennines. We had quite a long hike back to Hawes and were really grateful for your tip about the lovely café there. The tea and cakes went down very well.

We rather envy you continuing your way North and we’ll think about you often over the next couple of weeks. Keep up the splendid work and keep on enjoying it. It will be a trip I’m sure you will remember forever.

Lots of love

Sally & Kevin

Hi Dave and Mo

I have been reading your diary pages and glad to hear you are doing extremely well, you certainly have been lucky with the weather, apart from the few days at the start. The country side you are travelling around looks breath taking. Thank you both so much for your tremendous support and awareness you are giving to Cancer Research UK and for the tremendous funds you have raised to date.

Good luck with the rest of your journey and I look forward to catching up with you both upon your return.

Take care and see you soon, regards Dawn, Cancer Research UK.

Hello Mo and Dave

I’m sure you will have heard about the Border Hotel fire, but I’m sending this message just in case; we are doing the PW in a few weeks and so were phoned about it and to arrange alternative accommodation (not sure if you were planning to stay there).  Very sad indeed

Have enjoyed reading your diary – good luck for the rest of the walk.
Steve Newbould

Hi Mo & Dave

Sorry to pass on bad news, we did not win the lottery this week, so, sorry you will just have to keep walking. Looks absolutely wonderful scenery, hope you are finding time to enjoy it. Wish I was as fit as you two, it makes my tired just reading about it. Good luck to you both, and don't forget to keep smiling. See you soon

Nigel H.

Hi Colin, it was lovely to meet you and your attendants yesterday, keep them at it, they're a grand couple. Very best wishes. Marie

Hello Dave and Mo

You look as tho' you are having a good time along with the hard work! We hope you are treating Colin well so that he will be happy to come home with you both. It seems you are taking him through storms and heat and bogs and mountains and valleys and pubs - still he has a rest in the evenings with good food. We hope he does not drink too much although with Dave carrying him he should be OK Best Wishes for the rest of your journey - we love the pictures and your diary. Regards Chris and Wendy

Dear Mo and Dave,

You both look great!  aren't you doing fantastic!  Hope that cheeky Colin is behaving.

Best wishes, Joy and Andrew.

Hi Mo & Dave,

Keep it up you are nearly there, the Cheviots are stunning although we did not see that much of them due to bad weather.

Big Mark (very tired PW06 veteran)

We have been following your diary and really admire what you are both doing, hope the blisters have not been too bad.  Not much further now, well done.
Dawn, Mandy, Sandy and Andrea
Well done Dave & Mo. It is an incredible acheivement for yourselves and also for a very worthy cause. See you soon Angela & Darryl xxx

I thought these lyrics were appropriate and can be interpreted as the journey you have taken
And now, the end is here
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I traveled each and ev'ry highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way,
"Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way"

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows and did it my way!

Good luck for the last few days, you have both done a fantastic job.

Sharon and I are looking forward to seeing you both at Hawes on Monday to buy you a well earned pint! see you there.

 Stuart.

Fredbear & Midge Woodsell salute Colin on the last day of his epic journey.

Despite the handicap of having to shepherd Mo & Dave along when their spirits had sunk he maintained a steady progress and now is on the verge of the triumphal end to his heroic treck.

                                                             See you Monday at Hawes

Dear Colin

Who are the odd couple you are traveling with? I’m sure they are slowing you down!

Christine & Frank

PS Nearly there-just keep going-one foot in front of the other-well done!
