We only
had a short walk of 9.60 miles today, so we set of at 9.15. We were
soon over the hill to Gargrave and stopped at The Dalesman Café for
coffee and a florentine. Refreshed we were off again over the rolling
fields and more stiles, passing lots of sheep and cows. We walked
along the riverbank past Airton where we saw some Oystercatchers, one
we think guarding the nest while the other circled overhead. Just
before the end of our walk, we had a steep road climb up through
Hanlith before going back onto the hillside and dropping down into
Malham, which was very busy today. We arrived at Beck Hall at about Ta-ra for now Mo & Dave.
